Brian, what are your qualifications to buy wine? What kinds of wine do you personally like and what would you say your pallette craves?
Miles, thank you for your comments I have been on the road and busy with the development of our wine list. I want to address your questions. I am an enthusiast with over twenty years of experience in the food and beverage business. I have worked in restaurants, retail, catering, wineries and other licensed alcohol retail locations. I enjoy creating food and wine parings and have been referred to as "chef" although I do not have classical training in the culinary arts or wine. My personal wine favorites tend to be blends such as Bordeaux style blends, Italian blends like Super Tuscan's or artful blends from master wine makers like Brian Carter or Ray Sandidge. I also enjoy the classics like Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Barbera, Nebbiolo and Sangiovese. My palette craves big bold reds!!! Boudreaux Cellars, Horan Estates, Ryan Patrick Vineyards to name a few. I believe that wine is very personal and we are all wine experts! Tell me what you are looking for in a wine and I will see what I can find!!!
