Please help me welcome the C.R. Sandidge Video to the lovewashingtonwine.com Vintner Video Series by watching the new video! I was amazed at the photography (thanks to Howell at the Moon Productions!) of Lake Chelan at the beginning of this video. Stunning! This video highlights C.R. Sandidge winery and the winemaker, Ray Sandidge. Learn about the difference between a pecker and a gobbler (you've got to watch to find out!!!). Ciao! -Rebecca

Meet Rebecca
Hello everyone! I am Rebecca, the Operations Manager for Love Washington Wine, and I am very excited to chat with you all about Love Washington Wine, our wineries, and of course, GREAT WINE! I have had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people in my visits to and with our wineries. If there is one thing these people do well, it is making you feel welcome (ok, so the wine helps a little with that, but still...). Please take a moment to check out our events calendar to see where you can meet the winemakers for the wines on www.lovewashingtonwine.com, and, of course, you'll be able to meet Love Washington Wine promotional staff. And, just maybe, you'll catch me in the thick of things, too. If you have comments, questions, or just want to know what wine to pair with what, you can e-mail us at info@lovewashingtonwine.com.
Oh, and my own little disclaimer: I am learning about wine, just like you probably are, too. I am no expert, by any means. I am fortunate enough to work with many experts, and I will often defer to them. So don't feel silly. Wine is for enjoyment; please learn and enjoy with me! Ciao- Rebecca

Oh the great things you can find in a cave!
Um, Cave B that is… This winery never ceases to amaze me. Not only did they offer to have me taste all the wines that we offer (that was a great day) but they consistently create wines worthy of their name. We are now offering the 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2004 Sagecliffe Cabernet Sauvignon, 2004 Sagecliffe merlot and the 2005 Syrah. The greatest thing about what comes from their cave is both the Cave b wines and the Sagecliffe wines. What is the difference you ask? I will tell you. The Sageclifffe wines are made by the same guys and from the same vineyards as the Cave b wines, but once tasted they are completely different than one another. To me, the sagecliffe wines are a bit more fruit forward and simple. They are great to pair with delicate foods and to drink at dinner parties, they are very approachable. Cave b is also approachable, but to a whole other set of wine drinkers. These wines are more complex and earthy (again this is all according to personal opinion). They exhibit less fruit and are much more substantial than the sagecliffe wines. This makes neither of them better or worse than the other, in fact, I think it’s brilliant for a winery that is able to produce two labels to do so in the hopes of appealing to all wine buyers. There is something for everyone in this cave. I suggest that you find who you are: Sage-cliffe-hanger? Cave b-dweller?

New vintages from our favorite Irishman…
Ryan Patrick vineyards, specifically Terry Flannigan and Craig Mitrakul (who is not particularly Irish, but a darn good winemaker), have done it again. They have recently developed the three newest wines on our list: the 2005 Barbera, the 2005 Rock Island Red, and the 2006 Estate Chardonnay. The Barbera, the very first of this variety on our list, and all the others will be found online in the coming weeks. These vintages will be in short supply, so get yours as soon as you can.
Cheers – Kristy

Non-Wine Gift Items Now Available
I am so excited to announce that Love Washington Wine is now selling non-wine items perfect for gifting. I personally chose several of the items and hope you love them as much as I do. If you want to spice up your next wine gift, consider a new corkscrew or picnic set to make that gift really special. I’m partial to the great leather coasters and the Laguiole bottle openers. And I would definitely wrap myself in the cozy Kanata blanket and sip on wine any day! Give a gift that compliments your wine selection and show that you love them and that you Love Washington Wine!
Cheers – Kristy
